The Acapulco Fair (January) – children and adults can step right up to this fun-filled carnival, which overlaps both the Christmas and New Years holidays. The Acapulco Fair sets up shop at the Acapulco Convention Center every year with carnival rides for kids and adventurous adults, carnival games with prizes and thousands of vendors. This fair is a great place to take the kids because it's fun and fairly cheap.
Mexican Open Tennis Tournament (March) – Acapulco's Fairmont Princess Hotel is renowned by tennis aficionados for its magnificent clay tennis courts. Tennis players and fans from across the globe venture to acapulco to observe and compete in this televised tournament. Tennis fans from the UK, the United States and Canada will be wowed by many of Latin American's tennis greats.
Annual Acapulco Boat Show (May) – The Acapulco Yacht Club hosts Mexico's annual nautical extravaganza. The boat show showcases the year's best boat and fishing equipment and hosts many boating events and a competitive fishing tournament.
The Acapulco Music Festival (May) – also called 'Acapulco Fest or 'Acafest' by veteran attendees is held each May at the Acapulco Convention Center. This giant music festival hosts an entire week of famous Latin bands and solo musicians. Note: Acafest draws a huge crowd so anticipate heavy traffic.
The World UFO Congress (December) – Since Mexico has been the prime sighting grounds for UFOs over the years; Acapulco was the chosen landing grounds for the annual 'Congreso Mundial OVNI' or World UFO Congress.
