Cancun Restaurants

Downtown Cancun is the place to go for authentic Mexican food. The best way to find a fabulous Mexican restaurant is to follow the locals. If you are referred to a certain restaurant by a Mexican local you will be in for great food and even greater prices.

Cancun's collection of dining options range from authentic Italian, Japanese, French gourmet, fresh seafood, caught right in local waters, and even North American fast-food.

Just like the rest of the city Cancun's top dining spots are more then just your typical food and drink:

La Destileria – serves up fine Mexican cuisine in truly unique traditional Mexican setting. The opportunity to wash it all down with Mexico's national drink – Tequila – is encouraged as La Destileria is home to an onsite museum and tequila tasting tour. At the Tequila Museum you will learn everything about tequila – including its history, manufacturing process, etc. La Destileria is famed for their caramel crepes – a rich dessert filled with creamed bananas and walnuts and baked and served over 'cajeta' (caramel) and vanilla ice cream.

Senor Frogs – where you can dine during the day and party all night long! One of Cancun's most popular spring break hangout, serving up pizzas, pastas and fajitas and to hung-over college students priming for the nights festivities. By evening Frog's entertains about 1500 dancing maniacs with daily live music, DJs, contests and karaoke till 3 am. If you're in a wet mood take a slip and slide down Senor Frog's water slide, which starts inside and spits riders out into the lagoon.
