The Tequila Express (each Saturday) – Put this on your Guadalajara things to do list. All aboard this first-class train it departs from the Guadalajara train station every Saturday morning and is destined for the land of tequila dreams. The Tequila Express features mariachi and serves tequila and beer on board, as well as expert guides who take the time to explain the route and lead a tour through Hacienda de San José del Refugio and museum; the place where Tequila Herradura is manufactured. After the tour, guests enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch and entertainment of traditional dances and songs from the region.
The Guadalajara Zoo - this immense zoo features over 2,000 animals from 360 different species. Things to do at the Guadalajara zoo include the reptile display, the zoos twin aviaries, a petting zoo and an interactive museum. Visitors can either choose to view the animals by foot or take the sightseeing train. Teatro Degollado – Seeking a little culture for things to do in Guadalajara? Well Guadalajara holds a wealth, especially in its most prestigious theatre – Teatro Degollado. The theater is a magnificent example of murals, Corinthian columns and a marble relief of Apollo and the Nine Muses. A variety of dramatic arts are staged here such as the International Encounter of Mariachi, Ballet Folklórico and the Jalisco Philharmonic.
